Lagos Life Game Not Working: Loading, Login and Lag Fixes

Lagos Life stuck loading, not letting you log in, or lagging? Here's what each of the game's own messages means and what to try, step by step. Every message quoted below is taken from the game's code.

Game won't load

1. Check the address. The game runs at lagoslife.app (also lagoslife.eliysites.com). Other sites using the name aren't the game.
2. Use a real browser. Open it in Safari or Chrome rather than inside Instagram, X, Facebook or TikTok.
3. Check your connection. If the game can't reach its server, it shows “No connection. Check your internet and try again.” Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then reload.
4. “Network is slow… loading Lagos again 🔄” means the game hit a network error while loading part of itself. It reloads the page on its own (up to 3 times in 3 minutes), so give it a moment.
5. “Lagos hit a small go-slow” means something broke on the game's side. The game says your game is saved; tap Reload Lagos Life.
6. Still blank? Update your browser and close other heavy tabs. These are general browser tips, not official fixes.

Stuck on “Reconnecting to Lagos…”

This shows on the title screen while the game reconnects to its server (sometimes it says “Loading your game…” instead). After a few failed attempts, the game adds “This is taking longer than usual. Your game is safe: it's saved online.” with two buttons:

• Try again: retries the connection without reloading.
• Reload: reloads the page.

If loading your game keeps failing after several tries, a Log out link also appears. Use it as a last resort, and only if you know your password (or have an email on the account).

Can't log in from the Instagram or X in-app browser

Links opened inside Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok or Snapchat load in an in-app browser, which may not keep your login. Two things you might see:

• A tip: “Lagos Life plays best in your browser 📲. Tap ⋯ (top right) → Open in browser, for full screen, sound and saving to your home screen.”
• After logging in: “You're logged in, but this browser didn't keep it.” The fix the game gives: tap ⋯, choose Open in browser (Safari or Chrome), then log in there.

Reset a lost password

1. On the login screen, tap Forgot password?
2. Enter your username or email. If your account has an email, the game sends a link to choose a new password. The link works for 1 hour, so check spam too.
3. No email on the account? The game says: “This account has no email, so to reset it DM @Shalom_HeyEliy on X with your username.”

Still logged in? Add an email now. In the game it's the setting “So you can reset your password if you forget it”. Typed the wrong password? The game suggests tapping the eye icon to check what you typed.

Lag and disconnecting

• Lagos Life saves your game online, so a dropped connection doesn't wipe your progress. If you ever lose progress, the game keeps a saved copy and may offer to restore your latest save.
• If the server doesn't answer within about 15 seconds, the game stops waiting for that request. On a weak signal you'll see more “Reconnecting” and “No connection” messages, so move to a stronger network.
• Closing other apps and tabs can help on older phones. That's general advice, not an official setting.

Is Lagos Life down right now?

There's no official status page. To check:

• The live stats page: lagoslife.app/stats shows players online now and says it updates every 30 seconds. If it loads with numbers, the game's servers are answering.
• The developer on X: @Shalom_HeyEliy (Shalom Rayhamen) posts game updates.
• In the game: the Terms list messaging @shallyr in Lagos Life as the contact for questions and problems.

What isn't a problem

• No app in the App Store or Google Play. That's normal. Lagos Life is a browser game, and you can add it to your home screen instead.
• “Sponsored · opens the App Store or Google Play” cards in the game are sponsors' apps, not a Lagos Life app.

Links or pop-ups don't open?

You don't need pop-ups to play. Only some links open in a new tab, such as the Terms and Privacy Policy and sponsors' links. If tapping one does nothing, your browser may be blocking new tabs: allow pop-ups for lagoslife.app in your browser settings, or open the game outside an in-app browser.
